In seismically active areas, knowledge of the actual behavior bridges under seismic load is extremely important, as they are crucial elements transport infrastructure. To assess their resistance, it necessary to know key indicators response. Bridges built before adoption standards for detailing may still contain structural reserves due properties used materials and construction approach. For example, smooth reinforcement which found in older material properties, principles, lower bond strength compared ribbed reinforcement, allows greater deformations. bridges, columns vital employed dissipation energy.
